Manager For North Radio Station

In preparation for the opening of Northland's new radio station IXN, at Whanaaref, the manager, Mr C. A. McDowell, has taken up his duties.

Mr McDowell joined the broadcasting service as an announcer for 4Z13 tfunedin. in 1937, and later was presentation officer at the same station. After further experience’ in Wellington he was transferred to Auckland, where for three years he has been engaged in the production section of the service. A mechanical engineer by trade, Mr McDowell has always been interested in drama, both, as an actor and producer and bv joining the broadcasting service has been able to foster that interest.
