Mr T. H. Steadman Elected First Life Member

•ur t o STEADMAN, of Whangarei. was made the first life member of the Northland Bowling Centre at its annual meeting laSt Responsible for the formation of the centre in 1926, Mi Steadman has done a tremendous amount ot the North, and it was in recognition of his outstanding set wee over a long period, that the honour was bestowed upon him.

In proposing that life-membership be given to Mr Steadman. Mr F. R. Webster outlined the history ot the centre in its early years. Mr Webster explained that he had obtained his information from past consultations with Mr Steadman. In seconding the motion, Mr y Richards tKarno) instanced how Mr Steadman had come forward with an offer of financial assistance when Kamo had first considered forming a club.
