Chinese Reds Repulse Nationalist Landing
SHANGHAI, Mon. (2 p.m.).— Nationalist forces which landed at three points along the shores of Hangchow Bay about 100 miles south of Shanghai on” July 9. have been repulsed with heavy losses, a'ceording to the newspaper Wen Wei Pao. The landings were supported by warships, but in every case the Nationalists were driven back into the sea before they could obtain a secure foothold.
The body of a newly-born baby was found near a roadway in Remuera. Auckland, late yesterday afternoon. The police are investigating.
