STOPPED RUNAWAY PLANE AT ONERAHI
PROMPT action by the pilot, Mr N. M. Quarrie, of KaiUoa .saved the Kaitaia Aero Club's Tiger Moth aircraft from possible serious damage at Onerahi Aerodrome late yesterday afternoon when the machine jumped the holding chocks after the motor had been started. *
"When thr aircraft moved forward, Mr Quarrio hung over the tail of the plane until lie was able to run for* ward in front of the wings, and then teach ‘lie cockpit to stop the motor. Mr Quarrio, who had flown from Auckland after successfully undergoing a medical examination for his B commercial pilot's licence, received bruises when struck by the Motif’s starboard lower main plane, which was slightly da niagod. The machine remained at Oncrahi awaiting examination.
