Increase In Ration

LONDON. Thu UO a.m.).— The Ministry of Food today announced increases in die butter, meat and bacon ration. The butter ration will be Increased from three to four ounces on July 17 the margarine ration will remain at four ounces, and the cooking-fat ration at two ounces, making a total fats ration of 10 ounces a week. The ministry said the butter ration increase had been made possible by the steady improvement in supplies, all of which come from non- dollar sources. ' ■ The meat ration will be increased from 13d to 16d a week on July 31, due *o the seasonal increase of home killings and the conclusion of the Argentine agreement. No expenditure in dollars is involved. The bacon ration will be increased on August 2J from two to three ounces a week, because of growing home supplies. a.ml increased imports from non-dollar sources.
