Allen Leading All Blacks In Ist Game
CAPETOWN, Wed,, (11 a.m.).— F. Allen, who has recovered from a strained leg muscle, will lead.the All Blacks in the first match of the tour against Western Province Universities. In their choice, the selectors gave preference to those players who have found form most quickly.
The team is: R. W. Scott, P. Henderson, R. Elvidge, I. J. Botting, F. Allen, N. Black, ' L. Savage, K. 1.. Skinner. E. H. Catley, J. G. Simpson, J. R. McNab, C. Willocks, L . 11. Harvey, P. J. Crowley. N. H Thornton.
AH the players are in excellent health.
PRACTICE AT NEWLANDS
Dalton, who rested longer than the others following a slight strain on the boat, and who also visited the trials at Pretoria, now is in steady training and is expected to reach form shortly The team practised at the famous Newland ground today and will be officially weighed within the next day or two.
However, the pack is expected to average about 14st 10, or nearly a stone heavier than the Combined University side.
