Langstone's Threat

WELLINGTON, (Wed. (Sp.LThe Prime Minister (Mr Fraser), three Cabinet Ministers, one Parliamentary Under-Secretary and foUr Members of Parliament took part in the debate on conscription. The debate was acrimonious at times.

Mr F. Langstone, M.P. for Roskill, who voted against the proposal for compulsory military service when it was before the caucus, told the conference .that if it became party policy to give the Government the mandate it had requested he would no longer be a party candidate.
