Decision To Accept Au League Tour
AUCKLAND, Wed. (Sp.)—A decision to accept a tour of New Zealand by the Australian Rugby League team in September was made at a meeting of the New Zealand Rugby League last night. The chairman (Mi J. A Redwood) said that now the position was quite clear New Zealand had no option but to fall in line with Australia. Mr Redwood said he was of the opinion that the tour could be made a success even at the late date. There were certain advantages in taking the Australians in September, as if the tour were not so successful as expected they would have to share part of the responsibility.
