Fighting In Burma
RANGOON, Thu. (1 p.m.)—Government troops had repulsed a rebel force near Kiektila, headquarters of the North Burma Army, said a Government announcement tonight. Government troops captured Communist strongpoints near Pya'pon. The Burma army radio stated that 60 non-insurgents, including the commander, were killed and other drowned while attempting to cross, the Salween River.
