Re-testing Of Convicted Drivers

All motorists in Northland who have been convicted of certain traffic offences will probably be re-examined by Transport Department inspectors within the next five or six weeks. Each convicted driver will receive a notice informing him of the date of his re-examination.

Power to review driving licences i$ granted to the department by an act passed in 1040. Only drivers who have been convicted of the following misdemeanours will be affected:

Negligent driving, driving in a dangerous manner, driving at a dangerous speed, driving without due care and attention, failing to yield the right of way at an intersection, and failing to give way to a pedestrian at a crossing.
