MERCER
HAMILTON.— Established shortly after the founding of the settlement of Ma'cer following the military occupation of the Upper Waikato, the Mercer School is celebrating its 73rd anniversary this •week-end.
Special functions were held at the school yesterday, and the§e will be continued today and tomorrow.
A plaque in memory of Mr C. T. Edwards, who < taught at the school from 1886 to 1925, will be unveiled tomorrow. * $ *
