Johnstone Selected By Raglan Nationalists

HAMILTON, Wed. (Sp.)—Mr Hallyburton Johnstone, of Whatawhata, has bqen again selected by the Raglan National Party branch to contest the Raglan seat at the general election in 1949.

Mr Johnstone won the Raglan byelection for the National Party early in 1946. After a magisterial recount and a hearing by the Electoral Court, he lost the seat to Mr A. C. Baxter by 13 votes in the general election.

Mr Johnstone is a member of the Raglan County Council and of the Central Waikato Electric-Power Board.
