Early Photos From Northland
In furtherance of a plan to establish a national collection of historical photographs, Mr G. C. Heron, photograph librarian of the Alexander Turnbull Library at Wellington, arrived at Whangarei this afternoon.
He will spend several days in Northland, and will travel as far as Kaitaia where he will take charge of a valuable collection of photographs presented to the library by Mrs W. H. Farrimond. The scheme to establish a collection will provide historians with a pictorial record of New Zealand’s development.
