November Rainfall Above Average
November was a wet month in Whangarei this year with 5.37 in of rain registered, compared with an average of 3.43 in.
The heaviest November fall occurred in 1934, when lO.llin fell, and the lightest in 1944 when ,60in o i rain was recorded.
Heaviest single fall was registered in the 24 hours to 8 a.m. on November 20, when 2.53 in fell. This was accompanied by the lowest pressure reading for the month —29.8 in. For the first few days of the month the barometer averaged 30. Li and the weather was particularly mild. Rain fell on 17 days, mostly in light falls with ,50in on the 10th and .61 in on the 23rd. Temperatures ranged from 53 deg. on November 18 to 67 deg. on the 10th.
