Baby Overturned Electric Jug

When she pulled down an electric jug containing scalding water at her home at Portland a’t 9 a.m. today, Lorraine Joy Williams, aged three, received burns on the left side of her face and neck and on her left shoulder and arm.

She was admitted to the Whangarei Hospital, and her condition is stated to be satisfactory.

A 14-year-old boy, John Hawthorn, of Fifth Avenue, Whangarei, fell off a bank while playing at school yesterday and broke bbth bones of his left forearm. After admission to hospital, his condition was reported to be satis-

factory. Edward ..Andrews, aged seven, a schoolboy, of Kamo Road, Whangarei, broke both bones in his left forearm when he slipped while turning cartwheels. His condition is good.
