C arpenters' Claims
WELLINGTON. Tue. (P.A.) The dispute between the New Zealand (except Otago and Southland) Carpenters and Joiners' Union and the Federated Builders and Contractors’ Association, which was referred back to a conciliation council -by the Court of Arbitration, was resumed before Mr A. B. Rigg, Conciliation Commissioner, yesterday. Mr R. Stanley, advocate for the workers, stated that the workers had not departed in any particular from their original demands. Considerable progress toward an agreement was made. The discussions were continued today.
