TOKIO.— I Three cases of poliomyelitis have been reported among members of the British forces in Japan. The British headquarters said yesterday that one case had been fatal.
No cases of Japanese encephalitis have been reported among_ the services or civilian members of the occupation force.
This epidemic, which is now the worst in Japan’s history, continues Mn violent form among the Japanese in Tokio, where there are 1600 cases. More than 200 deaths have been reported.
