PALMERSTON N„ Thu. (P.A.) Wih superior combination and perfect positional play and more finish of movement, the touring Australian Soccer team swept through the Minor Associations (Manawatu, Taranaki and Wanganui) to beat them by 6 goals to 1 at the Show Grounds, Palmerston North, yesterday. The Australians showed remarkable speed and anticipatory ability and, although the first half of the game was fairly even, they had all their own way in the second. Australia's goals were scored by Johns (3), Nunn (2) and Hodge. Warman scored for the Minor Associations.
