McMillan, Andrews Wan Junior Billiards
By a 39 point margin, C. McMillan defeated J. Cully at the junior billiards championship in Whangarei lasi night. Both players commenced nervously, but developed confidence later.
McMillan was favoured with the run of the balls, although he produced a greater variety of shots to retain a lead of 40 points achieved in the second hundred. The final score was McMillan 250. Cully 211. The second game between Andrews and Warren,'“was won by Andrews, 260-70. Andrews quickly established a strong lead, to have a margin of 75 points in the first hundred. He placed the red ball well, making breaks of 21, 16, and 22, and attained double figures on four other occasions. Warren was frequently left in a difficult position and could not settle down.
