North Island Marching Champs For Whangarei
THE North Island marching championships will be held in Whangarei in mid-February if the New Zealand committee of the Marching and Recreation Centre approves of the venue.
The opportunity of holding the championships locally was offered to the Whangarei Marching and Recreational centre and was accepted last night. If the championships are held in Whangarei billeting will be required for at least 150 girls, and possibly as
many as 200. It is hoped that it will be possible to billet the girls in private homes. Further business of the meeting last night was the passing of the centre’s constitution, and the adoption of unifornfi colours of white lettering on a blue background.
