Snooker Title-Holder Beaten By Pierce

The title-holder, R. Crawford, was j beaten in the Northland snooker! championship last night. He went down to N. Pierce, who J won 59 —27, 49—56 and 54 —35. i F. Smith beat H. Barnes, 58—41 and 63—27. Splendid potting by Pierce and excellent safety play by Crawford were the features of their match.
