The Whangarei County Council’s decision to keep strictly to its policy in regard to the Whangarei Heads road is not going to WHANGAREI solve our roading HEADS ROAD difficulty. The Mnnaia riding has now lost nine-tenths of its power in its approach to the Main Highways Board to have this road declared a highway..m This must be so. as the council works the riding system strictly, except when it comes to bridge rating. Cr W. M. Fraser apparently takes little notice of deputations or petitions sponsored by his riding. I will be patient and wait until he presents his pressure at the next council meeting, and trust that councillors will support him ns he supported them to hand back our road last Friday.—G.
