WHALE
LEVlN.—Heavy seas which have pounded the coast in the past three days washed a large whale ashore at Waitarere beach. Levin. It is believed to be a member of the sperm family and is 35ft long. Apparently it was dead when washed ashore. Hundreds of people were attrajied to the scene vAuzday. (P.A.)
