KIWI
NEW PLYMOUTH. Found 'jjtfitte in an a male kiwi has been handed over to the Taranaki Acclimatisation Society, by which it is being cared for in the meantime. When found, the bird had a broken leg and the secretary of the society. Mr R. J. Mason, of New Plymouth, sent it to Mr J. H. McDonnell, veterinary sur-. geon, at Okato, for treatment. The broken limb was set without trouble and put in a plaster splint*—(Sp.)
