Alleges Black Market In NSW Cement

SYDNEY, Fri. (11.30 a.m.)—Charges that New South Wales cement was being black marketed in Victoria at £2O a ton, instead of the legal limit of £5, were made in Sydney by the Premier of Victoria (Mr Hollwav). He added that cement for the black market was being made by the use of New South Wales coal, which Victoria needed.

Mr I-lollway said he hoped while in Sydney to appeal to the Coal Board and to miners’ representatives for a faster supply of coal to Victoria, which needed about 40,000 tons a week.

During the life of the present Victorian Government the average had been only 23,CC0 tons a week.
