An address on "blue babies" by the medical officer.of health for Northland (Dr J. L. Newman) was a feature of the April meeting of the Whangarei branch of the New Zealand Registered Nurses' Association. Inc. District nurses from many parts of Northland were present. The president. Mrs Woods, announced that the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birthday would be commemorated at the evening service at Christ Church on Sunday. May 9. Afternoon tea was served.
