TAURANGA, Thu. (Sp.)—lt is estimated that during the holiday period, beer consumed at Mt Maunganui will be worth in the vicinity of £15,000. or £ISOO daily. The total number of “empties” it : s estimated, will reach between 15.000 and 20,000 dozen. One firm engaged in collection on a large scale stated that, as a result of a few trips to Mt Maunganui, 2000 dozen “empties” had been collected. The activities of the firm had almost been confined to visits to camps which had yielded the total of 2000 dozen.
