DEALS

WELLIN GTON. Bought from the War Assets Realisation Board for less than £lB each, discarded United States Army GMC trucks, now fully overhauled, are selling from £875 to £975 and in special cases up to £IOOO. The deal was made by Mr C r : of Gamaru, 1 and his re-turned-soldier sons.

Mr Gillies estimates that it will take eight years from the date of purchase to repair and dispose of the trucks that will be available. The total number purchased from the War Assets Realisation Board was 1225, for which £21,010 was paid.

Parts from some are being used in the overhaul of the better ones and Mr Gillies expects to dispose of 1000. — (Sp.)
