Twenty teams took part in a full-day tournament held by the Whangarei Bowling Club at the week-end. Four teams finished with four wins and, in the semi-finals, Taylor beat Wilding and Johnston beat Everett. In the final, Larkham, ConyersBrown, Jordan and Taylor beat Cleverly, Dyer, Johnston jnr, and Johnston snr, 10 —6 over 11 ends.
