U.S. Bans Radar Exports To Russia
WASHINGTON. Sun.—The State Department has banned the export of surplus radar equipment without a licence after protests had been made that some supplies were going to Russia. Surplus radar of types declared by :he Army to be non-seci-et had previously been sold without restriction by the War Assets Administration and could be exported without control. The decision is believed to mean that radar usable for war will not be shipped in future to Rvissia or to Russian satellite countries.
