No Reliance On Jews
The Archbishop of York (Dr Garbett) in a plea for international control of the whole of Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Nazareth, writes in his Diocesan Letter:
“We cannot rely on a Jewish state giving adequate protection or showing impartial justice to Christians or Arabs.
“The deplorable failure of the Jewish Agency even now. to prevent the cruel and treacherous murders of our young soldiers has justified the alarm fc-lt at its demand that a greater part of Jerusalem shall be incorporated in the new state.”
