AUCKLAND.— Final figures in the Auckland City Council election place Mr A. Tron-, son, 21st on the list of successful candidates 884 votes ahead of the nearest Labour nominee, Mr D. J. Armishaw.
A retiring councillor, Mr F. N. Ambler, with 25,147 votes, replaces Mr J. H Coakl<*y at the top of the poll. The highest-placed Communist polled 3406. (Sp.) * * *
