DOCKERS
WELLINGTON.— Mr H. Barnes, of Auckland, has been reelected president of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union unopposed for a further term of two years. The national secretary, Mr T. Hill, will be opposed by Mr J. E. Napier, of Wellington, in a ballot to be taken at all ports in February.
The checking of the voting in the elections for vice-president and the national executive was incomplete w’hen the biennial conference of the Union aSjourned yesterday until Monday.— (P.A.)
