AUSTRALIANS WIN IN WALES
LONDON, Sun.—The Australian Rugby team defeated Neath and Aberavon by 19. to 9. Neath and Aberavon proved more lively than the Wallabies in the early stages of the game and led within 15 minutes when Jones kicked a penalty goal. Piper equalised with a penalty goal. Neath and Aberavon maintained the pressure, which eventually gave the team a try by Davies.
Piper equalised again with a penalty goal. Allan then scored a try which Piper converted to give the Australians the half-time advantage, 11 —6. Neath and Aberavon began well after the interval, but the Australians were more incisive in attack.
Tonkin scored a try, which Piper converted, and, after Jones had kicked a penalty goal for the home team, Burke added an unconverted try for the Australians.
