Wright-, Secular Beat- Australians
DUNEDIN, Sat. (P.A.).—A feature of the foursome matches this morning in games on the Balmacewen course was the win of two Dunedin players in the Otago-Southland provincial side which played the Australians. The game produced v a tight and thrilling finish after the Australians had squared the match at the 18th. B. V. Wright produced his top form and was mainly responsible for a win that. was not only a reflection ol' superior knowledge of the course but also better team work at a critical period from the 10th hole on. The other match was devoid of many fireworks and the Australians were altogether too steady and reliable about the greens. B. V. Wright and J. A. Scoular beat W. A. Edgar and R. S. Brown (Australia) 1 up at the 19th. K. D. Pix and A. H. Colledge (Australia) beat H. W. Rogers and J. S. Lindsay, 2 up.
