i HELP FOR LEPERS ! The Whangarei Happiness Club’s I street collection on September 26 in ! aid of the lepers, amounting to i £lO6/10/-, was divided evenly between the leper organisations represented in t New Zealand by the Rev. Fred j Thompson, Auckland,' and Mr P. J- ■ Twomey, Christchurch. The secretary of the Happiness Club, Mrs McKinnon, ; posted by yesterday’s mail a cheque for £53/5/- to each of these gentlemen. With the approach of the spring weather there is a noticeable increase in the demand for summer dress : materials, frocks, two-piece suits and ; coats at Henry Wilson’s. The entry of ! this firm more extensively into the , showroom trade has proved a marked ! success, the newness of the goods and : moderate prices creating a very fav- ' ourable impression. r/w:
