Substituting Moloch For Mars
(Rec. 10.0 a.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 5. “Unless some means is evolved to stop the Russian war machine, all the sacrifices made in the past two wars will be in vain,” declared Senator Styles Bridges (Rep., New Hampshire), addressing 15,000 delegates to the convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars at Cleveland. He added: “Russia has consumed nearly all the gains Hitler acquired, and unless some means is evolved to stop her, we will have substituted the Kremlin for the Reichstag. Moloch for Mars, the juggernaut of death for the murderous paperhanger.”'
