Mrs Huwiler presided over a fair attendance of members at the September meeting. Miss E. Jones was elected vicepresident and Mrs R. Thomas was welcomed as a new member. Another four food parcels are to be sent to England this month, and £3 is to be forwarded to the Leper Fund. The roll call, a gardening hint, brought forth many suggestions. Mrs Jordan and Miss M. Weaver tied for first place in the covered coathanger competition, with Miss F. Weaver gaining second place. Hostesses for the luncheon were Mrs Campbell and Miss E. Maddox.
