Mrs Cossill presided over a fair attendance of members at the August meeting of the Ruatangata Women's Institute. v Mrs Dyer and Mrs Clark, of Purua, gave a report on a recent trip to Waitomo, Rotorua and Tauranga. The roll call for the afternoon was "A childhood recollection.” The competition was plain white scones. This was won by Mrs Cossill, with Mrs Yates and Mrs Attwood equal 2, and Miss N. Johnston 3. Donations were made to Baby Agnew and Baby Farrell. This month’s 10/- for a parcel to Britain went to Mrs Attwood.
