(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr A. G. Osborne (G —Onehunga) gave notice in the House of Representatives today to ask the Prime Minister whether in view of the necessity for saving every ounce of food to help Britain, steps would be taken to restrict the quantities of food consumed at banquets, receptions and similar gatherings. * Mr Osborne said that in an Upper .Hutt newspaper recently was a report of a National Party function attended by the members for Central Otago and Otaki, on which the newspaper made the following comment : “Never before in Paremata has such a wonderful supper been provided by the ladies and on all sides was heard appreciation of the unique and dainty dishes served in spite of the primitive hall facilities.”
