Heavy Flood Damage In East Bengal

(Rec. 10 a.m.) CALCUTTA, Aug. 27. Floods in the Noakhali district, East Bengal, caused an estimated loss of £385.000 and left 250.000 persons destitute, said the Secretary of the Bengal Provincial Moslem League (Habibullh Bahar). He appealed to the Red Cross for immediate help in money, materials and food.
