Passenger Killed

(Special.) HAMILTON, This Day. When a motor-truck loaded with furniture and general stores went over a bank at Mangakino on Sunday night, a man who had been riding on the back was killed instantly. He was: Mr Ralph Albert Stevens, aged 25, single, a driver, employed by the Public Works Department, Mangakino. Internal injuries, necessitating his admission to the Waikato Hospital, were suffered by Mr Robert Stevens, aged 40, a widower, uncle of Mr Ralph Stevens, employed at Mangakino as a labourer. Several other passengers received minor injuries.

(Special.) MORRINSVILLE, This Day. A man u r as killed yesterday morning when he was run over by a furniture lorry. He was: Mr Eric Stephen Bennet, aged 36, married, a share-milker. Mr Bennett was moving from a farm at Tauhei to take up a new contract at Putaruru.

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The search by air for the Tiger Moth aircraft missing in the Taupo area since last Saturday week has been abandoned, according to a statement by Flying Control yesterday. The aeroplane was flown by Mr J. D. Tacon, of Hastings.
