Rationing Continues

A definite answer that there was no possibility of New Zealand abandoning food rationing for some time was given by Mr Nash. He said that Britain needed every ounce of food which New Zealand could supply. Britain realised that the Dominion was doing its utmost and the fact that 1,000,000 food parcels had been sent to Britain last year 1 had been given full recognition there. It was just nonsense to say thal the people of Britain were starving, but they were just on the edge.
