Merchant Officers' Dispute Unsettled
(Special) WELLINGTON, This Day. No settlement has yet been reached in the dispute between New Zealand ships’ officers and their employers.

Although many of the anomalies in the present award had been removed, a number of conditions were unchanged. Negotiations will probably continue for several weeks now that the proposals have been rejected.
