Aloha Rebekah Lodge
The installation of officers of Aloha Rebekah Lodge took place at Whangai’oi last week. Sister Hartnell presided over a very large number of members.
The installing team, headed by DDGM Bro. J. Thomas, comprised Past Grands of Ngatoa Rebekah and Aloha Rebekah. and carried out an inidressivo ceremony.
Sis. Gardner was installed ns the Noble Grand for the ensuing term. PNG Sis. Hartnell was presented with the Tucker Cup. won by the sitting officers against the PNG’s. PNG Sis. Copland was presented with a jewel won on completion of her second term as N.G.
The V.G.. Sis. T. Wilson, was presented with the Progress Badge, won by the most improved member ciuiing each term. A successful "bring and buy" was held in March, the proceeds being mainly for the purchase of indoor bowls.
Fraternal greetings were conveyed by Ngatoa Rebekah Lodge No. 34 and two visiting sisters from Myrtle Rebekah Lodge No. 4. PNG Sis. Walker won the competition.
