6000 US Servicemen To Stay In China

(Rec.'lo.3o a.m.) MOSCOW, April 2. As the result of an agreement to exchange information about China, Mr Marshall (U.S.) informed M. Molotov (Russia) in a letter that 6000 United States military and naval personnel, at the request of the Chinese National Government, would remain in China after June 1. Mr Marshall said he had no information about the disposition of 700,000 Japanese whom the Russians took in Manchuria.

The Associated Press says Mr Bevin (Britain) decided not to submit any information about China to the other Foreign Ministers because it was a Soviet-American matter.
