Exports Reach Record Level
(Special) WELLINGTON. This Day. New Zealand’s exports reached a record value last year at £NZ99,406.000, an increase of ENZ17.870.000 on the previous record of 1945. , The highest value for exports in pre-war years was £5tg56,188.481. equivalent to about £NZ70.200.000 on the present rate of exchange, in 1928, a record which was not eclipsed until the war. Imports last year also rose steenly, by £16,561,000' to NZE71.634.000. The favourable balance was £NZ1,309.00C better at £NZ27.772,000.
