Treloar Outgrows His Strength

(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The champion sprinter, John Treloar. who arrived from New Zealand last night, said that the American 220yds,_ had revealed his (Treloar’s) Don" Campbell, who defeated him over weakness.

“Campbell always worried me over, the last 70yds in 220 yd races,” he said. Treloar’s coach (Mr P. Walsh) explained: “Treloar has outgrown his strength. That is why he found trouble with Campbell over the last 70yds in 220 yd races. “Because of Treloar’s size, we will not see the best of him as a runner until he is 23 years of age.

“He should then be one of the greatest sprinters the world has seen.” Treloar is 6ft 3in tall and weighs 13st 101 b. He put on 101 b during his three weeks’ tour of New Zealand.
