Local Electoral Rolls

(P.A.) ROTORUA, This Day. Local body electoral rolls were discussed by the Municipal Association conference. Mr M. E. Lyons (Christchurch) moved and Mr W. J. Rogers (Wanganui) seconded a Christchurch remit that the Government be requested to introduce regulations under the Local Elections Amendment Act requiring registrars of electors to advise the appropriate local bodies of any new enrolment or change of name or address which might come to their notice and which would affect local bodies’ rolls. The matter was referred to the executive to take any action deemed necessary.
