Bulganin's Star Rises In Moscow

(Rec. 1 p.m.) MOSCOW, Mar. 5. Marshal Bulganin, who succeeded Marshal Stalin as Minister of the Armed Forces on March 3, now' has become Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, which is equivalent to Deputy Premier of Russia. General Vassilevsky succeeds Marshal Bulganin as Deputy Minister of the Armed Forces. Marshal Bulganin's rise to power was first apparent in 1944 when he replaced Marshal Voroshilov as Deputy Minister of the Armed Forces.
